No one can make remake of magnum opus 'Mughal-e-Azam', says Randhir Kapoor
Performing artist chief Randhir Kapoor thinks nobody can make a revamp of masterpiece 'Mughal-e-Azam', as it be hard to discover on-screen characters to venture into the shoes recently Madhubala and Prithviraj Kapoor, and unbelievable performer Dilip Kumar.
Randhir, who went to the debut of Broadway-styled musical play of 'Mughal-e-Azam' here on Friday, said the K. Asif directorial was an "awesome" film.
Declining to engage the likelihood of a revamp of the 1960-discharged film, Randhir said: "By what means will you bring Madhubala, Dilip Kumar or 'Mughal-e-Azam' Prithviraj Kapoor?
"It was an incredible film. I am extremely happy for being connected with this great film through my granddad Prithviraj Kapoor."
Movie producer organize executive Feroz Abbas Khan has adjusted the 1960 film into a play.
"I am extremely upbeat that a phase variant of 'Mughal-e-Azam' has been made. I am trusting the presentation will be brilliant as it was in the film. I want them to enjoy all that life has to offer in the interest of my family and my granddad Prithviraj Kapoor," Randhir said.
Additionally present at the setting was Randhir's more youthful sibling Rishi Kapoor, who said: "I need to remember the recollections of my granddad through this play".
Other Bollywood superstars who graced celebrity main street of the debut included Jackky Bhagnani, Jackie Shroff, Nandita Das, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi , Boney Kapoor, Sridevi and Irrfan Khan.
Feroz Abbas Khan is coordinating the play, which is a tribute to the first film and is being created on an amazing scale.
