Family felt film industry was a volatile profession, says Aamir Khan

Aamir said his family needed him to accomplish something, which was more "steady".

"One moment you are up there, one moment you are most certainly not. There is no sureness or security. They needed us to be more steady in life, to go into a calling which is more steady. Build, specialist, diagrammed bookkeeper. I wouldn't have figured out how to do any of the these things. Be that as it may, they needed me to get into a decent expert course. They didn't need me to experience the vulnerabilities and the injuries, in the unstable business that we are in," he said.

Aamir said all things considered he attempted a course at Film and TV Establishment of India (FTII), however furtively.

"I was exceptionally aware of a certain something. I never needed Nasir sahab aur abba jaan to ever feel that 'Now it is our duty to dispatch Aamir'. "Shabana ji saw the film and inquired as to myself. Around then, she was working with my dad in a film titled 'Khoon Ki Pukaar'. She said, 'Gracious you're Tahir sahab's child! I should let him know you're a fabulous performing artist!' I said, 'No! You can't let him know that!' She said, 'You are a phenomenal performing artist, you ought to act'. I felt so great," Aamir reviewed.

Aamir uncovered that it was scriptwriter Javed Akhtar, who told Nasir that he ought to be a star.

"I joined chacha jaan as a partner chief. It was towards the end of the shooting of "Zabardast" in Lonavla where Javed sahab had come to take a shot at 'Mr India' script... I was sitting in Nasir sahab's room and Javed sahab strolled into say hello there. When he inquired as to myself, chacha jaan said, 'He is Tahir's child, he is helping me'. Javed sahab said, 'Why is he an aide? He ought to be a star!' It's very humorous that both Shabana and Javed, who are as one today, independently saw me at discrete places and said a similar thing."
